Pysanky is an Ukrainian art form coming from the word “pysaty” or “to write”
Traditional pysanky is created with the wax method where a kitska is heated over flame and wax is drawn on an eggshell. Eggs are dipped into ink (lightest to darkest) and designed depending on color scheme. Once the egg has been soaked in the darkest color, all previous wax is melted off and full design is shown.
I’ve been decorating since 2013 and focus on mostly pop culture designs, but some traditional as well.
